Around Town Tours to Kansas City

June 17-19, 2009 - I drove Cavallo Bus #178 for "Around Town Tours." We started off early from two pick up points in St. Louis on June 17th and returned early in the evening on the 19th.
The days were packed with
good food and fun activities. Some of the highlights were:

enjoying Jamie Farr
and Company in "Don't Dress for Dinner" at the New Theatre Restaurant in Overland Park; ==}
{visiting the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art;

seeing how violins were made at KC Strings;
touring the Jazz Museum in Kansas City, Missouri;
and driving the tour bus through the underground caverns.

{=We followed the white van

We had filling meals at Smokehouse Barbeque (enroute) and the Hereford House (return) in Independence and the Golden Ox while in Kansas City, Missouri.

Dee and Rich Kaemmerer and their daughter Debbie made the excellent arrangements and provided the informative commentary. For more information on their extensive schedule of tours contact Dee at:

It must have been a good trip.
A rainbow greeted me when I returned to the bus garage in Gillespie, Illinois.
